The Owensboro Family YMCA and Owensboro’s two Hampton Inns are partnering to present the inaugural GLOwensboro 5K/1 Mile Senior Walk. The community is invited to “light up for better health” during the run/walk, set to take place in the late evening on October 22.
The event will kick off with a 1-mile senior walk at 6 p.m. followed by the 5K run/walk at 7 p.m. The routes will start and end in the YMCA parking lot (900 Kentucky Parkway).
Registration is $35 for adults, and $20 for both children 3-18 and seniors over 60. Sign up online here. Registration prices increase for those who wait until race day to sign up.
There are no race bags for this race. Bibs for competitive racers will be available starting at 5:00 p.m. on race night.
Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Owensboro along with Hampton Inn – Owensboro South are sponsoring the event.
